Race 2 - Candlestick Repechage

October 20, 2013

CandleStick Cup Race 2

Course direction was counter clockwise on Sept. 29th – this time it’s going to be clockwise, pretty much a mirror image of the first race course. Even if we don’t get any rain between end of September and today, there’s going to be a soft patch, courtesy of our 500 gallon towed water tank . That’s just one of our surprises lurking in the Candlestick weeds. The Park Rangers let us have quite a bit of latitude regarding the features – as long as we avoid their special California plantings as they seek to establish  a more native environment for this former landfill.

The 2nd race in the Cup Series – there are no other UCI events anywhere close to the West  Coast this weekend so this may be the time we’ll see some of our NorCal UCI stars show up for an outing.

Special Thanks to Jason Anderson for the Video!
