Here’s another experiment for 2014 season – almost EVERYBODY gets a chance to race with only their own category. No 2nd field starting 60 seconds behind or in front of you – just you and your peers hopefully slogging through a wet Candlestick (no guarantees on weather). Day 1 has 9 separate fields, Day 2 has 6 races. Here’s your tune-up for Districts, just 3 weeks away/

Category Description
Cyclocross racers in Northern California have selected their own race categories for decades before USA Cycling discovered the phenomena a few years ago. We still encourage riders to discover for themselves their best fit for competition. Is your first choice too slow? too fast? Too young? Too old? Go ahead and change whenever you want. For those of you looking for more direction, our corresponding categories with USAC are:
Beginner – Cat. “C” – USAC Cat. 4
Intermediate – Cat. “B” – USAC Cat. 3
Advanced – Cat “A” – USAC Cat. 1/2
